UMS Holdings, a Singapore-based company, has recently purchased land in Penang Science Park North in Malaysia. According to their announcement on July 1st, their subsidiary, Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions, invested RM15.23 million (approximately $4.5 million) into the 5.38-acre (2.18ha) plot.

This land, with a 60-year leasehold, is located between two well-established industrial parks – Perai Industrial Area and Batu Kawan Industrial Park. With an area of about 235,000 sq ft, it strategically adds to the group’s portfolio of over 1.2 million sq ft of industrial space in both Singapore and Malaysia.

Andy Luong, chairman and CEO of UMS Holdings, explains that the newly acquired land is adjacent to their existing factory in Penang and will be utilized for business expansion. UMS Holdings specializes in the production of semiconductor components.
