Singapore named best city in Asia for expats
Singapore has been ranked as the best Asian city for expatriates looking to relocate for work or learning, according to a report published by Preply, an online language learning platform.
The report evaluates key global cities based on relocation metrics such as monthly cost of living as an expat, average monthly salary, estimated tax, safety scores, cleanliness, and how many hours it would take to learn the dominant language.
Singapore came out on top among Asian cities attracting professional expatriate workers, with a combined expat relocation score of 7.2 out of 10, based on Preply’s evaluation.

Among the Asian cities ranked by Preply, coming second at 6.96 is Bangkok in Thailand, followed by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates with a score of 6.81, and Penang in Malaysia with a score of 6.72.

The city of Tallinn in Estonia took the top overall ranking with a score of 7.35. It was followed by the city of Bern in Switzerland which clinched a score of 7.32, and then Singapore.
