Singhaiyi Appoints Nakano Singapore Main Contractor Sora

SingHaiyi, a renowned property developer, has recently announced the appointment of Nakano Singapore as the main contractor for their upcoming condominium project, Sora. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 29 at the site along Yuan Ching Road, facing Jurong Lake Gardens.
Sora, a 440-unit condominium, is a redevelopment of the former Park View Mansion. SingHaiyi-led consortium acquired the 99-year leasehold site, spanning across 191,978 sq ft, for $260 million in July 2022. SingHaiyi and Chip Eng Seng, now part of SingHaiyi, hold a combined 70% stake in the joint venture, while KSH Holdings and Ho Lee Group hold the remaining 30% stake.
According to Raymond Chia, the Group CEO of SingHaiyi, Sora aims to provide its residents with a premium lifestyle that strikes a perfect balance between nature and recreation. He added that the collaboration with Nakano, known for its exceptional quality of work, was a natural fit.
Sora’s concept is in line with Jurong Lake District’s transformation into an integrated hub for “live-work-play-learn”, in which SingHaiyi aims to play a significant role.
This project marks the first collaboration between SingHaiyi and Nakano Singapore. The managing director of Nakano Singapore, Kutsuzawa Yoichi, said that they are excited to work with SingHaiyi and share a common ethos of creating high-quality developments for their clients and consumers.
Some notable projects of Nakano Singapore in Singapore include the luxurious 142-key hotel, Artyzen Singapore, located on Cuscaden Road and the 165-unit One-North Eden at Slim Barracks Rise in one-north.
