Straits at Joo Chiat achieves 20% sales at an average price of $2,100 psf over the weekend
This past weekend, on May 11-12, Roxy-Pacific Holdings launched their boutique development, Straits at Joo Chiat. This freehold condo, nestled in District 15, saw three out of 16 units sold at an average price of $2,100 psf.
According to Teo Hong Lim, executive chairman of Roxy-Pacific Holdings, the buyers were families seeking spacious apartments in the district and were drawn to the boutique style of the project. Discussions are now taking place for additional units.
With more choices available to buyers, they have become more selective and take more time to commit to a purchase. This trend is further evidenced by the recent launch of Jansen House, a 21-unit boutique development by Macly Group. Located in District 19, two units were sold at an early bird discount with prices starting from $1,940 psf.
Straits at Joo Chiat offers three- to five-bedroom units, ranging from 990 sq ft to 1,453 sq ft. With a 999-year leasehold, this project offers two- to four-bedroom units from $1.499 million. The two units sold were a two-bedroom unit and a four-bedroom unit, priced at $2,121 psf and $2,098 psf, respectively.
