Accor, a leading global hospitality group, has announced its plans to add more than 15,000 keys across Asia under its premium, midscale, and economy divisions by the end of 2023. This growth is in line with its goal to expand its presence in the region and cater to the diverse needs of the evolving hospitality market.

As of September, Accor has already signed management agreements for a total of 42 properties in Asia, adding over 11,000 keys to its portfolio. The group aims to further increase this number by signing agreements for 20 more projects by the end of the year, bringing the total number of new keys to over 15,000.

One of Accor’s main focus is on enhancing its presence in the premium segment, with 17 upcoming hotels under brands such as Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick, and Grand Mercure. At the same time, the group is also committed to strengthening its midscale and economy offerings through brands such as Novotel, Mercure, and ibis.

Some of the notable new properties include Grand Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 68 in Thailand, Grand Mercure Amritsar Airport Road and Pullman Amritsar in India, Mövenpick Living West Hanoi in Vietnam, and Novotel Genting Highlands in Malaysia.

Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy division in Asia, says, “With our comprehensive growth strategies and the introduction of innovative brands that cater to the diverse needs of the ever-evolving Asian hospitality market, Accor is undeniably at the forefront of shaping the future of hospitality in the region.”
