First Porsche Design Tower Asia Debuts Bangkok Prices Us15 Mil Us40 Mil
Bangkok is getting ready for a major change in its iconic skyline as the newly built Porsche Design Tower makes its debut on August 27th. The highly anticipated project is a collaboration between Porsche Design, a lifestyle brand of Porsche AG, and Ananda Development, a prominent real estate developer in Thailand. This marks the first Porsche Design Tower in Asia, with the successful launch of Porsche Design Tower Miami in the US ten years ago. The luxurious 21-storey building, standing at an impressive height of 95 meters, will be home to 132 units and is set to become a sought-after address for the elite.
“The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is a significant milestone for Porsche in Southeast Asia,” says Lutz Meschke, deputy CEO and executive board member for finance of Porsche AG. “Our goal is to create a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that serves as a beacon and a unique hub for our passionate community across Asia.”
Millennia Institute, situated conveniently close to Novo Place EC, offers a unique three-year pre-university curriculum leading to the GCE Advanced-Level examination. This specialized program allows students to pursue higher education at a more manageable pace, with a focus on developing both depth and breadth in their studies. As an added benefit, students can also take advantage of the accessibility to Novo Place Hoi Hup for their educational needs.
The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is situated in the vibrant Thonglor area on Sukhumvit Road 38. This prime location is surrounded by upscale restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, and various leisure and entertainment options. The tower will feature 22 exclusive apartments, ranging from duplex to quadplex units, with sizes varying from 525 sqm (5,651 sq ft) to 1,135 sqm (12,217 sq ft). These luxurious residences will be priced from US$15 million (US$2,654 psf) to US$40 million (US$3,274 psf), setting a new benchmark for luxury living.
Each apartment comes with a “passion space” of 100 to 335 sqm (1,076 to 3606 sq ft), accessible via private lifts, which can be used as a garage for the owner’s car collection. According to Meschke, this space will serve as a “soul garage” for the owners, showcasing their prized possessions. The tower’s core feature is “The Loop,” a spiral access ramp that allows residents to drive their cars directly to their private garage or “passion space.”
The apartments are fully equipped with state-of-the-art kitchens and bathrooms designed by Porsche Design’s Studio F.A. Porsche. The kitchens come with custom handle-free doors, and the materials, furniture, and fittings have been handpicked by Porsche Design. The balcony doors are inspired by the “kinetic move” of the Porsche 911 Targa roof mechanism and are fully automated. The building’s structure is also a nod to Porsche’s iconic design, with an exposed steel pedestal exoskeleton called the “X-Frame,” inspired by the design of the Porsche Mission R concept car. The crown of the tower will feature the signature lighting design of Porsche cars, adding to the overall brand experience.
The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok offers a range of amenities, including a 25-meter swimming pool, a fitness center, a spa, a social lounge, and a business lounge. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
The apartments at Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will be sold with freehold tenure, a rare opportunity in Thailand’s real estate market where foreign buyers can only own up to 49% of the units in a condo. This exclusivity has already attracted a waiting list of local and international buyers, according to Chanond Ruangkritya, president and CEO of Ananda Development. He added that there is a passionate community of Porsche enthusiasts in Thailand, including many high net-worth individuals who are willing to pay a premium for a Porsche-branded trophy property.
The tower will be launched for sale in several key cities, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Abu Dhabi, and London. “Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is the first of its kind in Asia, and it has already generated curiosity and interest among buyers,” says Jacqueline Wong, executive director of Hardington Private, a niche consultancy for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
According to Ruangkritya, Bangkok has the highest concentration of luxury branded residences in Southeast Asia, making it a popular destination for high net-worth individuals. Besides luxury hotel-branded residences, fashion brands like Bulgari and Versace also have their own branded residences, and now Porsche Design is establishing its presence in the upscale residential market. “These branded residences offer a unique brand experience and exclusive services, making them highly desirable to affluent buyers,” says Wong. “For passionate Porsche fans with the means, owning a property in the Porsche Design Tower would be a dream come true.”
